Description

A hearty pasta dish featuring chicken in a rich, buttery sauce inspired for dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces linguine pasta
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the chicken strips to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent, about 3 minutes.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and add paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper; stir to combine and simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Add the cooked linguine to the skillet and toss everything together until the pasta is well coated in the sauce.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For a spicier kick, increase the cayenne pepper. Pairs well with garlic bread.
