- 8 ounces linguine pasta
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the chicken strips to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent, about 3 minutes.
- Pour in the heavy cream and add paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper; stir to combine and simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Add the cooked linguine to the skillet and toss everything together until the pasta is well coated in the sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
For a spicier kick, increase the cayenne pepper. Pairs well with garlic bread.
