- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, chopped parsley, chopped chives, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste, and mix until well combined.
- Lay out a piece of plastic wrap on a flat surface.
- Spoon the butter mixture onto the plastic wrap and shape it into a log.
- Wrap the butter log tightly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up.
- Slice and serve as desired.
Notes
For a spicier version, increase the cayenne pepper. This butter can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or frozen for up to 3 months.
