Description

A flavorful compound butter infused with herbs, spices, and garlic, perfect for enhancing steaks, vegetables, or breads.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, chopped parsley, chopped chives, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Season with salt and black pepper to taste, and mix until well combined.
  3. Lay out a piece of plastic wrap on a flat surface.
  4. Spoon the butter mixture onto the plastic wrap and shape it into a log.
  5. Wrap the butter log tightly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up.
  6. Slice and serve as desired.

Notes

For a spicier version, increase the cayenne pepper. This butter can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or frozen for up to 3 months.
