Description

A festive and tangy cranberry Jello salad topped with a creamy cheese layer, perfect for holidays.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (6 ounces) cranberry flavored Jello
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 can (14 ounces) whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1 can (20 ounces) crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, dissolve the Jello in boiling water, stirring until fully dissolved.
  2. Stir in the cranberry sauce and crushed pineapple until well combined.
  3. Fold in the chopped walnuts.
  4. Pour the mixture into a serving dish and refrigerate until set, about 4 hours.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  6. Add sour cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract; mix until creamy.
  7. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the set Jello layer.
  8. Refrigerate for another hour before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, use low-fat cream cheese and sour cream. Chill thoroughly for the best texture.
