Description

A comforting dish featuring tender chicken breasts in a creamy apple cider sauce, topped with crispy prosciutto and melted Gruyere cheese.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 slices prosciutto
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes per side.
  2. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute. Stir in apple cider, scraping the bottom of the pan to loosen any browned bits.
  3. Return the chicken to the skillet and pour in the heavy cream. Simmer for about 15 minutes, until chicken is cooked through and sauce is thickened. Meanwhile, cook prosciutto in a separate pan until crispy. Top chicken with Gruyere cheese, allow it to melt, then serve with crispy prosciutto on top.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
