Description

A delicious creamy pasta dish featuring bacon, chicken, and mushrooms in a rich sauce.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta
  • 2 chicken breasts, sliced
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped bacon and cook until crispy, about 5 minutes; remove bacon and set aside, leaving the grease in the pan.
  3. Add sliced chicken breasts to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes; remove and set aside with the bacon.
  4. In the same skillet, add diced onion and minced garlic; sauté until softened, about 3 minutes.
  5. Add sliced mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and brown, about 5 minutes.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Return the chicken and bacon to the skillet and mix well.
  7. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until evenly coated with the sauce. Adjust seasoning if needed and serve hot.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or milk. Pairs well with garlic bread.
