For the Crust:

  • 1 lb crab meat
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cups seafood stock
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sautรฉ until translucent.
  2. Whisk in flour to create a roux, cooking for 2 minutes until golden.
  3. Gradually pour in seafood stock, whisking continuously to avoid lumps.
  4. Add crab meat, shrimp, paprika, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
