Description

Succulent lobster tails poached in a rich, creamy garlic butter sauce. An elegant and surprisingly simple dish perfect for a special occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 4 (6-8 oz) lobster tails, thawed if frozen
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Using kitchen shears, carefully cut through the top shell of each lobster tail lengthwise. Gently pull the meat upward, keeping it attached at the base, and rest it on top of the shell.
  2. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sautรฉ for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Place the prepared lobster tails in the skillet, meat-side up. Spoon some of the garlic butter over each tail. Cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Pour the heavy cream into the skillet around the lobster tails. Add the paprika, cayenne (if using), salt, and pepper. Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer.
  5. Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the sauce. Continue to cook for 5-7 minutes, basting the lobster frequently, until the meat is opaque and cooked through.
  6. Remove from heat. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately with lemon wedges and crusty bread to soak up the sauce.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
