For the Crust:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb Italian sausage, casings removed
- 1 package (20 oz) cheese tortellini
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, sautรฉ until fragrant.
- Add ground beef and sausage to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces.
- Meanwhile, cook tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Reduce heat to low. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add cooked tortellini to the skillet and toss until well coated with the creamy sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan if desired.
