Description

A creamy shrimp dish inspired by Tucson flavors, featuring succulent shrimp in a rich, spicy sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 lime, juiced

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add shrimp, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper; cook for 2-3 minutes per side until shrimp turns pink.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and lime juice; stir and simmer for 5 minutes until sauce thickens.
  5. Stir in chopped cilantro and remove from heat.
  6. Serve immediately with rice or tortillas.

Notes

For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños or cayenne pepper to taste. Pairs well with a cold beer.
