- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon instant coffee granules
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs

- For the frosting: 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon brewed coffee
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, instant coffee granules, sugar, and salt.
- Add the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely before frosting.
- For the frosting: In a bowl, beat together powdered sugar, cocoa powder, brewed coffee, and softened butter until smooth.
- Spread the frosting over the cooled brownies and let it set for 10 minutes.
- Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
These brownies are best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days. For a stronger coffee flavor, increase the instant coffee to 2 tablespoons.
