Description

A hearty fall dish featuring acorn squash stuffed with apples and spices.


Ingredients

  • 2 acorn squashes, halved and seeded
  • 2 apples, cored and diced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Place squash halves cut side down in a baking dish and bake for 30 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, mix apples, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, and nuts.
  4. Remove squash from oven, stuff with apple mixture, and bake for another 20-25 minutes until tender.
