- 3 cups milk
- 4 egg yolks, beaten
- 3 tablespoons butter

Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
- Gradually stir in milk and cook over medium heat until thickened.
- Stir a small amount of hot mixture into egg yolks, then return to saucepan.
- Cook for 2 more minutes, then remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla.
- Pour into baked pie crust and chill until set.
- Top with whipped cream before serving.
