Description

A simple and flavorful recipe for broiling lobster tails with butter to achieve a juicy and delicious result.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 lobster tails (about 68 ounces each)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven's broiler on high and position the rack about 6 inches from the heat source.
  2. Using kitchen shears, cut the top shell of each lobster tail lengthwise down the center, stopping at the tail fan.
  3. Gently loosen the meat from the shell, keeping it attached at the base, and lift it up to rest on top of the shell.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  5. Brush the lobster meat generously with the butter mixture.
  6. Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet and broil for 8-10 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and lightly browned, basting with more butter halfway through.
  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for 2-3 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For the best results, use fresh lobster tails and avoid overcooking to keep them juicy. Pair with a side of drawn butter or a fresh salad.
