Description

A simple and comforting casserole made with chicken and stuffing, perfect for a quick family dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 (6 ounce) package chicken flavor stuffing mix
  • 1 1/2 cups hot water
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 4 cups cooked chicken, cubed
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Prepare stuffing mix according to package directions using the 1 1/2 cups hot water and 1/4 cup butter.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix together the cream of chicken soup, milk, and shredded Cheddar cheese.
  4. Spread the cooked chicken in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Pour the soup mixture over the chicken.
  6. Top with the prepared stuffing.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.

Notes

This casserole can be prepared ahead and refrigerated; just add 10 minutes to baking time if starting from cold.
