Description

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar for coating

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until combined.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  7. Scoop dough into balls, flatten slightly, and add a dollop of cream cheese mixture in the center.
  8. Fold the dough around the cream cheese and roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  9. Place on the baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days. For a crunchier texture, roll in extra cinnamon-sugar after baking.
