Ingredients

- 1–1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon red food coloring
- 1–1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Hershey's Kisses, unwrapped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy.
- Add egg, food coloring, and vanilla; mix well.
- Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until set.
- Immediately press a Hershey's Kiss into the center of each cookie.
