- Crust:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- Filling:
- 1 cup pecan halves
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix flour and brown sugar for the crust. Stir in melted butter until combined.
- Press the crust mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake for 15 minutes.
- While the crust bakes, whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, and salt for the filling.
- Stir in pecan halves.
- Pour the filling over the baked crust and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until set.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
