Description

A creamy and indulgent pasta dish featuring tender chicken in a rich sauce, perfect for a romantic dinner.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Continue to simmer until the sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
  7. Add the drained pasta to the skillet and mix everything together until well combined.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

This dish is best served fresh, but leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 2 days. For a spicier version, increase the red pepper flakes.
