- 1 cup boiling water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the almond milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
- Stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth; it will be thin.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use dark cocoa powder. Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for best results.
