For the Crust:
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
- 1 small head cabbage, shredded
- 1 cup white rice, cooked
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook until lightly browned, about 5 minutes.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the shrimp and sausage and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the shredded cabbage, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Pour in the chicken broth and continue cooking until the cabbage is tender, about 5 more minutes.
- Return the shrimp and sausage to the skillet and stir to combine. Serve over cooked rice.
