For the Crust:

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 small head cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup white rice, cooked
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook until lightly browned, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the shrimp and sausage and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the shredded cabbage, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and continue cooking until the cabbage is tender, about 5 more minutes.
  5. Return the shrimp and sausage to the skillet and stir to combine. Serve over cooked rice.
