A festive holiday dessert combining eggnog and gingerbread flavors with the classic tiramisu style.
Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups eggnog
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 8 ounces mascarpone cheese
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 1/2 cups gingerbread cookies, crushed
- 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
- 1 tablespoon rum or brandy (optional)
- Cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together eggnog, heavy cream, mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg until smooth.
- In a separate shallow dish, combine the cooled coffee and rum or brandy if using.
- Quickly dip half of the crushed gingerbread cookies into the coffee mixture and layer them at the bottom of a serving dish.
- Spread half of the eggnog mixture over the cookie layer.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining cookies and eggnog mixture.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set.
- Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.
Notes
For a non-alcoholic version, omit the rum or brandy. Chill thoroughly for best texture.
