Description

A festive dessert featuring a creamy cheesecake base topped with cherry filling, perfect for holiday celebrations.


Ingredients

  • Crust:
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • Filling:
  • 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and melted butter. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and 1 cup sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust and spread evenly.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the center is set.
  6. Allow to cool completely, then spread cherry pie filling over the top.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars and serving.

Notes

For a festive touch, garnish with whipped cream and holiday sprinkles before serving.
