Description

Homemade chocolate truffles infused with orange zest, perfect for holiday celebrations.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Zest of 2 oranges
  • 1 tablespoon orange liqueur (optional)
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder for coating
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan until it just begins to simmer.
  2. Pour the hot cream over the chopped dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl and let it sit for 2 minutes.
  3. Stir the mixture until smooth, then add the orange zest, orange liqueur, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Refrigerate the mixture for 2 hours or until firm.
  5. Scoop out teaspoon-sized portions and roll into balls.
  6. Roll the truffles in cocoa powder to coat.
  7. Chill the truffles for another 30 minutes before serving.

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
