Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 ounces goat cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup dried figs, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 egg, beaten for egg wash
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle.
  3. Spread the softened goat cheese evenly over the pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Sprinkle the chopped figs and thyme leaves over the cheese, then season with salt and pepper.
  5. Starting from one long side, roll the pastry tightly into a log.
  6. Brush the log with the beaten egg and slice into 1-inch thick pinwheels.
  7. Place the pinwheels on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
