For the Crust:
- 2 pounds beef short ribs
- 3 large onions, thinly sliced
- 4 cups beef broth
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sear the beef short ribs on all sides until browned, then remove from pot.
- Add onions to the pot and cook until caramelized, stirring frequently. Add garlic and cook for another minute.
- Return the short ribs to the pot, add beef broth, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 2-3 hours until the beef is tender.
