- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.
- Stir in rice and garlic powder, cooking for 2 minutes.
- Pour in beef broth, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer covered for 20 minutes.
- Fluff with a fork and season with salt and pepper before serving.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, substitute beef broth with vegetable broth. Pairs well with steak or chicken.
