Description

Rich and decadent fudge brownies with a gooey center and a crispy top.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Stir in sugar and cocoa powder until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  4. Stir in flour and salt until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before slicing into squares.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
