Description

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, zest and juice
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8 ounces linguine pasta
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then cook for 6-7 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove from skillet and let rest.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Stir in lemon zest and juice, then gradually add Parmesan cheese, stirring until a creamy sauce forms.
  5. Slice the cooked chicken and add it back to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat.
  6. Add the cooked linguine to the skillet and toss everything together until well combined.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For a creamier sauce, add a splash of heavy cream. Ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
