Description
A flavorful pasta dish featuring tender chicken in a creamy, spicy Cajun sauce with garlic and Parmesan cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces spaghetti
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust for spice level)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season the chicken pieces with salt, pepper, and half of the Cajun seasoning, then add to the skillet. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream, remaining Cajun seasoning, and Parmesan cheese. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Add the drained spaghetti and mix everything together until well combined.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
For a milder version, reduce the amount of Cajun seasoning and red pepper flakes. Pair with a side salad for a complete meal.
