Description

A warm, comforting dish featuring soft gnocchi baked to perfection with rich caramelized onions and a hint of thyme.

For the Crust:

  • 1 pound potato gnocchi
  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat, add onions and sautรฉ until caramelized, about 15 minutes.
  3. Cook gnocchi according to package instructions, drain and transfer to a baking dish, mix with caramelized onions, thyme, and half of the parmesan cheese.
  4. Season with salt and pepper, sprinkle the remaining parmesan cheese on top, and bake for 15 minutes until golden and crispy.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
