For the Crust:
- 1 pound potato gnocchi
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat the oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat, add onions and sautรฉ until caramelized, about 15 minutes.
- Cook gnocchi according to package instructions, drain and transfer to a baking dish, mix with caramelized onions, thyme, and half of the parmesan cheese.
- Season with salt and pepper, sprinkle the remaining parmesan cheese on top, and bake for 15 minutes until golden and crispy.
