- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 12 oz linguine pasta
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, thyme, and oregano.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat and add garlic; cook until fragrant.
- Add seasoned chicken to the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 6-7 minutes per side.
- Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, pour in chicken broth and heavy cream; stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
- Add grated Parmesan cheese and stir until the sauce thickens.
- Meanwhile, cook linguine according to package instructions; drain and add to the sauce.
- Toss the pasta in the sauce until well coated.
- Slice the cooked chicken and place on top of the pasta.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
