Description

A rich and decadent chocolate cake roll filled with caramel and pecans, topped with more chocolate and a hint of sea salt.

For the Crust:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, beat eggs and sugar until thick. Fold in flour and cocoa powder.
  3. Spread batter evenly on the baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes. Roll the cake in a towel while warm.
  4. Once cooled, unroll and spread with caramel sauce, sprinkle pecans, and re-roll. Drizzle with more caramel and a sprinkle of sea salt to serve.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
