Description

A classic beef stroganoff recipe featuring tender beef strips in a creamy sauce.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g beef fillet, cut into strips
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 200g mushrooms, sliced
  • 150ml beef stock
  • 100ml sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over high heat.
  2. Add the beef strips and sear until browned, then remove from the pan.
  3. In the same pan, add the onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
  4. Add the mushrooms and cook until they release their juices.
  5. Pour in the beef stock and simmer for a few minutes.
  6. Stir in the sour cream and Dijon mustard, then return the beef to the pan.
  7. Season with salt and pepper, and simmer gently until the sauce thickens.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Serve with rice or pasta for a complete meal.
