A traditional Greek dessert featuring honey and flaky pastry.
Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
- 1/4 cup ice water
- 1 cup honey
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add ice water, mixing until dough forms. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Roll out dough and fit into a pie dish.
- In another bowl, whisk together honey, eggs, yogurt, vanilla, and cinnamon.
- Pour filling into the crust and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until set.
- Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use high-quality Greek honey.
