Description

A cheesy dip made with ground beef, perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (10 ounces) diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add the diced onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Stir in the cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add the diced tomatoes with green chilies and shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until the cheese is melted and the mixture is well combined, about 5 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat to low and simmer for an additional 5-10 minutes to blend flavors.
  6. Serve warm with tortilla chips.

Notes

This dip can be made ahead and reheated. For a spicier version, add jalapeños.
