- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can (10 ounces) diced tomatoes with green chilies
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Add the diced onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in the cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add the diced tomatoes with green chilies and shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until the cheese is melted and the mixture is well combined, about 5 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for an additional 5-10 minutes to blend flavors.
- Serve warm with tortilla chips.
Notes
This dip can be made ahead and reheated. For a spicier version, add jalapeños.
