- 1 package (30 oz) frozen shredded hashbrowns, thawed
- 1 pound ground sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 8 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Optional: 1 diced onion and 1 diced bell pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Spread the thawed hashbrowns evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle the cooked sausage and shredded cheese over the hashbrowns.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- If using, stir in the diced onion and bell pepper into the egg mixture.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the hashbrowns, sausage, and cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
- Let the casserole cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Notes
This casserole can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated overnight for easier mornings. Serve with fresh fruit or coffee for a complete meal.
