Description

Delicious heart-shaped brownies perfect for Valentine’s Day, made with simple ingredients and baked to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a heart-shaped baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the mixture and beat until smooth.
  4. Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt, then stir until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Cut into heart shapes if not using a shaped pan and serve.

Notes

For best results, use a heart-shaped mold. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
