Description

Delicious heart-shaped brownies perfect for Valentine’s Day, made with simple ingredients for a fudgy treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Optional: Heart-shaped cookie cutter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool, then use a heart-shaped cutter to shape the brownies.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark cocoa powder. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
