Instructions
- In a bowl, sift together almond flour and powdered sugar.
- Whip egg whites until foamy, then gradually add granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the meringue until just combined.
- Add food coloring and pipe the batter into heart shapes on a baking sheet.
- Let the macarons rest for 30 minutes, then bake at 150°C for 15-18 minutes.
- Allow to cool completely before filling with buttercream.
