These heart-shaped shortbread cookies are infused with fresh strawberry flavor, perfect for Valentine’s Day or any special occasion.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the vanilla extract and chopped strawberries, mixing well.
- Gradually stir in the flour and salt until a dough forms.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thickness and cut into heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
- Place the shapes on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
- Allow to cool on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
For best results, use ripe strawberries and ensure the dough is chilled to maintain shape. Store in an airtight container.
