Description

A decadent chocolate and peanut butter cake that’s irresistibly gooey and rich.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the chocolate cake mix, 1 egg, and melted butter until combined; press into the bottom of the pan.
  3. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth, then add peanut butter, powdered sugar, remaining eggs, and vanilla extract; mix well.
  4. Pour the peanut butter mixture over the cake layer and spread evenly.
  5. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the center is gooey.
  6. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

For a fudgier texture, do not overbake. Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
