A classic, creamy dessert made with fresh bananas and vanilla wafers.

For the Crust:
- 3 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 cups milk
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 large eggs, separated
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 box vanilla wafers
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a medium saucepan, mix the sugar and flour, then gradually whisk in the milk.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
- Beat the egg yolks and slowly whisk them into the hot mixture.
- Cook for an additional 2 minutes, then remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Layer sliced bananas and vanilla wafers in a serving dish, pouring pudding over each layer.
- Allow to chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
