Description

A classic, creamy dessert made with fresh bananas and vanilla wafers.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 3 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs, separated
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 box vanilla wafers

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a medium saucepan, mix the sugar and flour, then gradually whisk in the milk.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  3. Beat the egg yolks and slowly whisk them into the hot mixture.
  4. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, then remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Layer sliced bananas and vanilla wafers in a serving dish, pouring pudding over each layer.
  6. Allow to chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
