Description

A sweet and savory dish featuring baked apples drizzled with honey, stuffed with feta cheese and dried cranberries for a flavorful twist.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large apples, cored and hollowed
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 100g feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Core the apples and remove the seeds, leaving the bottom intact to create a cavity.
  3. In a bowl, mix the crumbled feta cheese, dried cranberries, and chopped walnuts if using.
  4. Stuff the apple cavities with the feta mixture.
  5. Place the apples in a baking dish and drizzle generously with honey, then sprinkle with ground cinnamon.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the apples are tender when pierced with a fork.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, ensure all ingredients are plant-based; serve warm to enhance flavors.
