Description

A decadent fusion dessert combining the nutty layers of baklava with creamy cheesecake, drizzled in sweet honey.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup walnuts, finely chopped
  • 1 cup pistachios, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup almonds, finely chopped
  • 1 package phyllo dough
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. Layer half of the phyllo sheets in the pan, brushing each with melted butter.
  3. Mix nuts and cinnamon; spread half over the phyllo layers.
  4. In a bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth; add eggs and vanilla, then pour over the nut layer.
  5. Add another layer of phyllo and nuts, then bake for 50-60 minutes until set.
  6. Drizzle with honey while warm and let cool before serving.

Notes

For a crispier texture, ensure phyllo is handled quickly to avoid drying out. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
