- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and halved
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the eggs, oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
- Gently fold in the cherries and chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
For a gooier texture, underbake slightly. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
