Description

Delicious brownies combining rich chocolate with sweet cherries for a moist and flavorful treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and halved
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the eggs, oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
  4. Gently fold in the cherries and chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

For a gooier texture, underbake slightly. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
