For the Crust:
- 1/2 cup high-quality extra virgin olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a shallow, wide bowl or small plate, pour the extra virgin olive oil.
- Add the minced garlic, dried oregano, crushed red pepper flakes, black pepper, rosemary, and sea salt to the oil.
- Gently stir the mixture with a spoon to combine all the ingredients. Let it sit for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Just before serving, stir in the fresh parsley and optional Parmesan cheese.
- Serve immediately with slices of warm, crusty bread for dipping.
