For the Crust:

  • 1/2 cup high-quality extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a shallow, wide bowl or small plate, pour the extra virgin olive oil.
  2. Add the minced garlic, dried oregano, crushed red pepper flakes, black pepper, rosemary, and sea salt to the oil.
  3. Gently stir the mixture with a spoon to combine all the ingredients. Let it sit for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  4. Just before serving, stir in the fresh parsley and optional Parmesan cheese.
  5. Serve immediately with slices of warm, crusty bread for dipping.
