For the Crust:
- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- 3/4 cup melted butter
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1 cup sugar
- 16 ounces whipped topping
- 6 ounces strawberry gelatin
- 2 cups boiling water
- 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Mix crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 3 tablespoons of sugar in a bowl, then press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Bake the pretzel crust for 10 minutes, then remove from oven and let it cool completely.
- In a medium bowl, beat together cream cheese and 1 cup sugar. Fold in the whipped topping and spread the mixture over the cooled pretzel crust.
- Dissolve the strawberry gelatin in boiling water. Allow it to cool until it thickens slightly but is still pourable, then add the sliced strawberries.
- Pour the strawberry mixture over the cream cheese layer. Refrigerate the dish for at least 4 hours or until the gelatin is set.
