For the Crust:

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 3/4 cup melted butter
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 16 ounces whipped topping
  • 6 ounces strawberry gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Mix crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 3 tablespoons of sugar in a bowl, then press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Bake the pretzel crust for 10 minutes, then remove from oven and let it cool completely.
  3. In a medium bowl, beat together cream cheese and 1 cup sugar. Fold in the whipped topping and spread the mixture over the cooled pretzel crust.
  4. Dissolve the strawberry gelatin in boiling water. Allow it to cool until it thickens slightly but is still pourable, then add the sliced strawberries.
  5. Pour the strawberry mixture over the cream cheese layer. Refrigerate the dish for at least 4 hours or until the gelatin is set.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
