Description

A sweet and crunchy snack made with popcorn, caramel, and marshmallows, perfect for parties or movie nights.


Ingredients

  • 6 quarts popped popcorn
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 10 ounces marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C).
  2. Place popcorn in a large roasting pan.
  3. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt.
  4. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  5. Boil for 5 minutes without stirring.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and baking soda.
  7. Pour over popcorn and stir to coat.
  8. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
  10. Melt marshmallows in a microwave or double boiler, then drizzle over the popcorn mixture and stir to combine.
  11. Spread on waxed paper to cool completely, then break into pieces.

Notes

For extra crunch, ensure the mixture is baked thoroughly. Store in an airtight container.
