Description

Tender meatballs glazed in a sweet and savory Korean BBQ sauce, served with a creamy and spicy mayo dip for an irresistible appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon gochujang paste
  • For the spicy mayo dip: 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon sriracha, 1 teaspoon lime juice

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, panko breadcrumbs, egg, green onions, garlic, and ginger. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
  3. Preheat oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC) and bake meatballs for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
  4. In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and gochujang paste. Simmer over medium heat until thickened.
  5. Toss the baked meatballs in the sauce until coated.
  6. For the dip: Mix mayonnaise, sriracha, and lime juice in a bowl.
  7. Serve meatballs with the spicy mayo dip on the side.

Notes

For a spicier version, add more gochujang to the sauce. Pairs well with rice or as an appetizer.
