A hearty casserole that combines the classic flavors of meatloaf and mac and cheese for a comforting family meal.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together egg and milk; stir into the beef mixture.
- Press the beef mixture into the bottom of a greased casserole dish.
- Layer the cooked macaroni over the beef mixture.
- Top with shredded cheese and diced tomatoes.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until the meatloaf is cooked through and cheese is bubbly.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a spicier version, add chopped jalapeños to the meat mixture.
